What? What? A4 Huh?

What the heck are paper companies, printers and designers talking about when they reference A4. It’s like another language.

Well we’ve done some research and found what we think you might find helpful.

What is the proper resolution needed for printing an A4 size picture? Proper output needs a minimum resolution. The number of pixels depends on the quality of output required.

Commonly 300ppi (pixels per inch) your image needs to be 2480 X 3508
- 2480 x 3508 is required for short reading distance such as brochures, calendars, booklets.
A photo book needs a somewhat lower pixel count (250 dpi) but we still recommend 300 dpi

Even older phones take images with at least 8 megapixels. You can get decent image resolution and produce a quality photo A4 sized
